Day 1 Review Questions: HEBREWS
1. Who is the High Priest? Describe the attributes of the High Priest and how that benefits believers.
2. Describe the law and faith.
1. Who is the High Priest? CHRIST JESUS (3:1)
Describe the attributes of the High Priest MERCIFUL AND FAITHFUL, RECONCILATOR FOR OUR SINS (2:16)
and how that benefits believers SOCCOUR THEM THAT ARE TEMPTED, (2:18) BECAUSE WE ARE HIS HOUSE WE CAN HOLD FAST TOI CONFIDENCE AND REJOICE IN HOPE THAT IS FIRM UNTIL THE END (3:6)
4:14-16
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
2. Describe the law and faith.
7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen
Day 2 Review Questions: JAMES
1. Explain why it’s important for believers to have both faith and works?
2. Why is it important to control the tongue?
3. Why is friendship with the world enmity with God?
Day 2 Review Questions: JAMES
1. Faith without works is dead. Our faith is demonstrated by our deeds…you shall know them by the fruit they bear. So if a person isn’t demonstrating the fruits of Christ, then it brings into question if they are His.
2. Life and death is in the power of the tongue. The same tongue that speaks blessings will also speak curses. We must control the tongue b/c words can’t be taken back, regardless of how much we say I’m sorry. Our tongue can be used to harm and to destroy others. Instead of letting our tongue control us, we should let the wisdom and peace of God be our guide.
3. Because you can’t serve two masters. You will love one and hate the other. If we’re friends with the world, meaning desiring the pleasures and lusts of the world more than a stronger closer relationship with God, then we will perish with the things of the world. Lord, I pray that everyone reading this blog will humbly submit to your Word and teachings and seek after a stronger, closer, relationship with you through your Son, Christ Jesus, our Lord, Savior, Healer and Redeemer! In Jesus Name…AMEN!!!
Day 3 Review Questions: 1 PETER
1. Explain 1 Peter 2:9 and how it should be demonstrated in the life of a believer in Christ Jesus.
2. Based on 1 Peter 4:17-19, why is it important for believers not to waiver in faith?
3. How does 1 Peter 5:7 encourage you during times of distress?
1. Explain 1 Peter 2:9 and how it should be demonstrated in the life of a believer in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:NO MATTER WHAT THE WORLD SAYS OR DOES WE AS GOD’S CHILDREN MUST WALK IN THE LIGHT TO RULE OUT THE DARKNESS. TAKING RIGHTEOUS STANDS IN EVERY ARENA OF LIFE NOT BEING ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHIST. CRYING LOUD AND SPARING NO ONE FROM KNOWING OUR HEAVENLY FATHER AND HIS SON CHRIST JESUS OUR SAVIOUR.
2. Based on 1 Peter 4:17-19, why is it important for believers not to waiver in faith? AS BELIEVERS WE CANNOT AFFORD TO LET OUR FAITH IN CHRIST WAIVER. AT THE MOMENT IT DOES WE RISK THE CHANCE THAT OUR SOUL BE LOST. NOT ONLY WILL WE BE PUNISHED FOR OUR WRONG DOING BUT WE ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR OTHERS LOOKING ON OUR LIVES. THEREFORE IF WE ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE THE ARK OF SAFETY IN CHRIST AND SOMEONE STUMBLE BECAUSE OF US THEN GREATER DAMNATION TO OUR SOUL.
1 Peter 4:17-19 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
3. How does 1 Peter 5:7 encourage you during times of distress?
CHRIST JESUS HAS REASSURED THE BELIEVER THAT NO MATTER WHAT THE CHALLENGE, DISAPPOINTMENT, OR SITUATION CASTING (THROWING) IT INTO HIS CARE RELEASES (FREE) US FROM THE PAIN AND FEAR ATTACHED. HE CARES SO WE DON’T HAVE TOO.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Day 4 Review Questions: 2 PETER
1. What can a believer to do to keep them from falling from 2 Peter 1:10?
2. What is a false prophet and what will be their reward (2 Peter 2)?
Day 4 Review Questions: 2 PETER
1. 2 Peter 1:10, states that we need make our calling and election (to salvation) sure or steadfast by from 2 Peter 1:4-8 is partake of God’s divine nature and escape hte corruption of the world through lust. The lust of the world is escaped by adding to our faith virtue and to virtue, knowledge and to knowledge temperance and the temperance patience, and to patience godliness, and to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness charity. If we lack the aformentioned, then as verse 9 states, we are blind and have forgotten that we were purged from sins and fall into the lusts of the world.
2. According to 2 Peter 2, false prophets and false teachers bring in hersies (a part truth regarding the scriptures, which is a whole lie) and deny the Lord who broght them out. Verse 3 states that through covetousness they make merchandise of the people (use words to talk people into giving them money, etc). God said these false prophets and teachers who the Lord once brought out of darkness will be destroyed, even as the angels who sinned against him (v. 4) and the world that was destroyed by the flood (v. 5) and even as the Sodom and Gomorrah being burned into ashes (v.6). In all of the examples above, God spared the godly and righteous and destroyed the unrighteous. All I can say is people beward because judgement is again coming to the house of God so that God can purify and cleanse his church (those who in Christ Jesus). These false prophets are compared to Balaamn in 2 Peter 2:15. If Balaam’s prophecies are read, they are accurate and correct, so God isn’t punishing people necesarily because they are speaking lies, but as Balaam, it’s because they are doing it for gain and making merchandise of God’s people or are not following the commandments and teachings given in the bible.
2 Peter 2:21 warns that it was better for them NOT to have known the way of righteousness than, after they have known it to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. All I can say to my sisters and brothers in Christ is to pray for the Body of Christ and for our leaders in the Gospel.
Day 5 Review Questions: PHILEMON
What was learned from the book of Philemon?
